P4 and P5 butterfly garden

11th Feb 2022

P4 and P5 were very busy today creating a butterfly garden in the shape of the school crest. Prior to this Andy had visited the children to talk to them about creating a butterfly garden to attract pollinators to the school garden and the different styles that we could have. After a vote it was decided that the shape of the school crest was the chosen design.

We are very grateful to Andy Griggs, Alistair Boyd and Mr and Mrs Orlik for giving up their time to help us. Without them we couldn’t have made such a fantastic feature.

The next job is to do the planting and then watch our plants grow. We can’t wait to see how our garden develops as Spring approaches.
