In Forest School today we began by reading the story Stick Man by Julia Donaldson, one of our favourite authors. Our task was to collect sticks from our school grounds to make our own stick man. We had to ensure the sticks were shorter than the distance from our fingers to our elbow and that they were not too thick. We needed a stick that looked like the letter y and a straight stick for the arms. After some searching we found what we were looking for and using wool we tied the sticks together to make our stick man. Take a look at what we have created!
