We had a brilliant morning at Crewehill Farm in Stewartstown where we met Mrs Stewart who told us all about the work on a dairy farm. We saw examples of produce made from milk, the tank where the milk was stored, the milking parlour where the cows were milked, and the young calves.
We looked at the labels to show that the milk, cheese, butter, custard and fresh cream were all produced locally in Northern Ireland. Now we know what to look for when we go shopping to support our farmers.
We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Stewart for allowing us to visit their lovely farm during Open Farm Weekend.
