On Friday members of the eco-council along with Mrs Kelly and Mrs Young attended the Hill of the O’Neill for the Mid-Ulster Council area Eco-Schools Green Flag awards.
The school were delighted to receive their third green flag and had the surprise of being awarded Eco-School of the Year for the Council area.
The children have worked hard to develop this area and enjoy using it to enhance their learning. A huge thanks goes to Live Here/Love Here for their funding and to Andy Griggs and the Newmills Community Garden for their help with the larger projects.
We have more ideas to develop the garden so watch this space!
