Congratulations to our very own Mrs Kelly who was recently presented with the local Mid Ulster 'Eco Teacher of the Year' Award! The pupils and staff of Newmills are so delighted for you to have received such a thoroughly deserved award. Your hard work has transformed our school garden while your enthusiasm for nature and outdoor learning has been inspirational to all of us. Thanks to your vision, bringing everyone together, we have the most amazing space in which to grow and learn, which will only continue to develop in the future. All of those pupils and their families who nominated you wanted so much to find a way to say 'Thank You' - we hope you enjoy your poem written by one such family and congratulations again from the whole school!
